Announcements The Academy of Our Saviour now has a ceiling tile at Tijuana Flats Nature's Classroom Grand Opening Celebration flyer The Academy of Our Saviour celebrated the grand opening of Skittles Outdoor Classroom with a school wide celebration. The students, grade Pre-K2 – VPK, joined Pastor Keiser in a blessing for our new outdoor learning space followed by a morning of exploration. The students enjoyed activities ranging from exploring the senses, the stages of tadpole growth, to watching the chicken eggs in the incubator beginning to wiggle! Buttercup and Lucy, our resident chickens and Moppet our bunny, greeted each student and spent time with them being cuddled and petted. Skittles, our outdoor classroom mascot and lizard puppet, explained to the children all of the wonderful things they will be learning in the new outdoor classroom. The morning concluded with a special dessert of “dirt and worms”! Mrs. Angela Burke, our Science/Nature Teacher said “our goal is to help children understand nature and our world around us. We will provide activities that promote interactive and fun learning as they journey through our outdoor classroom.”
