History

The Academy of Our Saviour is a parochial school, and was founded in 1966 by the Congregation of The Lutheran Church of Our Saviour. With the support of the church and staff the school began its journey of educating children in the surrounding communities. From its beginning the school had a large enrollment from Pre-School through Kindergarten. The school still remains a mission of the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour and the congregation continues its support today. Over the years the school has continued to improve its programs, striving for quality education and establishing the reputation of academic excellence.

The Lutheran Church of Our Saviour Pre-School and Kindergarten changed its name to the Academy of Our Saviour in 2009. Changing the name helped the community understand the dynamics of the school and all the special programs and events the Academy has to offer.

The Academy provides a rich environment in music and Bible stories to help students learn of God’s love and His created world. We welcome families of all faiths who are interested in seeking to enhance their child’s spiritual, emotional, social, and physical development.

The Academy believes that a well rounded education is important to all students. That is why we schedule special events throughout the year. From theater performances to fire truck tours, all activities are important to introduce students to new experiences. The many special events are also additional opportunities for parents to become involved in the Academy and their child’s education. We recognize that the many experiences at the Academy will help children grow and that this foundation will serve them well throughout their life. We are noted for providing quality Christian education in partnership with our parents.
